We hold legal and upright citizenship
in the Kingdom of the Light.
A kingdom must have a king.
We recognize Yahweh is our King.
A kingdom must have subjects that are under the king.
We are subject to King Yahweh.
A kingdom must have edicts set by the king
in order to rule his subjects.
We are submitted to the edicts of Yahweh.
Let's take a closer look at these four areas:
The Kingdom of the Light is known in the Holy Scriptures by many names:
Therefore, we know that this Kingdom is existent and consistent.
A kingdom must have a king...
So who is King in the Kingdom of the Light?
Yahweh is the King of the Kingdom of the Light.
In the King James version of the Holy Scriptures you will find the words "the LORD" (all capitals) over and over again. This "LORD" is, in the original Hebrew language, the name of the Creator of the universe, the Holy One of Israel, the One True King. His name is spelled in Hebrew: Yod Hey Vav Hey - this is translated into the English alphabet as YHVH or YHWH. There are no vowels in the original Hebrew, so some - such as Strongs - has translated this as Yehovah or Jehovah while others prefer Yahweh or some similar form of it.
Okay - so we don't all pronounce the King's name the same...no big deal. Are you more interested in your child pronouncing your name correctly OR in your child having a relationship with you and speaking to you out of that loving relationship - "Father", "Daddy", "Papa"... Are you more interested in your child correctly pronouncing your name OR in him showing forth your upright characteristics with his own actions?
That said, we refer to Yahweh when we use the terms "our Father", "our Lord", or "our God".
A kingdom must have subjects.
So who are the subjects of the Kingdom?
Citizenship into THIS Kingdom comes at a very high cost. A price so high, in fact, that we could never attain it. You see, in order to be a subject in the Kingdom of the Light then one must be without darkness -- without sin... SINLESS. Only those who are without sin can enter the Kingdom of the Light. Problem is...we have ALL sinned, we were ALL born into darkness, and we have ALL walked in darkness. We, as mere mortals, could NO WAY, NO HOW, ever come up with enough Light - enough pure, sinless holiness - to get us out of the kingdom of darkness and make us children of the the Light, citizens of a Holy Kingdom.
With great loving kindness, Yahweh recognized our situation. His heart ached as He longed to dwell among His people but could not because of the darkness. His people longed to be with Him, but could not because of their sin. Oh trouble of troubles! How could such a situation be reconciled? There was no way we could reach the standards set to be citizens of the Kingdom of the Light. Yet the King so loved us that He made a way.
Yahweh, in all His infinite wisdom, had mercy on us and took great care to provide the Light for us. He robed Himself in flesh...Yeshua (in English translations He was called Jesus) was born of a virgin, - Yahweh's invisible Spirit revealed in human skin - the Son of God - Immanuel. At the appointed time, He allowed His body to be tortured and abused. Then He paid, with His own blood, the ultimate price for our citizenship. Three days and three nights later, the flesh that was dead, rose to walk once again - thus revealing His supreme power over the rulers of the kingdom of darkness.
So now, those who wish to submit themselves to the Kingship of Yahweh and be under His authority and rule, have access to approach His throne and make their petitions for salvation FROM the kingdom of darkness INTO the commonwealth of the Kingdom of the Light.
How is this accomplished?
First, we must recognize that we are children of darkness, that we have spent our lives separated from the Light...that we have sinned and are deserving of death because that is the penalty Yahweh demands for sin. Then, we must individually approach the Throne of Yahweh, confessing the darkness that is in us and the sins that we have committed against Him. Do not deny your darkness - He knows everything already. Once you have revealed your current situation, ask Yahweh to forgive your trespasses, to remove the darkness that is within you, and to cover you with the blood of the Lamb, Yeshua, our mediator. Yahweh will forgive you if you come with sincerity.
After you have repented and are cleansed of your sins, then find some water and be baptized in the name of Yeshua for the remission of those sins and Yahweh will baptize you in His Spirit and give you power to become a Child of the Light.
Now that you hold citizenship in the Kingdom of the Light, it is up to you to learn the King's Ways and to walk in them. It is not proper for Children of the Light to walk as children of darkness.
A kingdom must have edicts.
Once you have become a citizen in the Kingdom of the Light, you must learn the Ways of the Light. Walking in the Ways of the Light is different than walking in the ways of darkness. The Ways of the Light leads you to life, while the ways of darkness leads you to death. The Ways of the Light leads you to blessings, while the ways of darkness leads you to curses. The Ways of the Light lead you to have more of that Light in you, while the ways of darkness lead you further and further from the Light.
Yahweh, as Supreme King, Ruler, and Judge, makes all the edicts for the Kingdom of the Light. He alone rules, and none other. What He says goes. The Kingdom of the Light is not a democracy nor a republic. Citizens choose to either honor or dishonor the King by their responses to His edicts. The King is very longsuffering and allows for citizens to acclimate to the customs and behaviors of the Kingdom as we become increasingly enlightened and transformed by the renewing of our minds in the Ways of the Light. He does not desire that any have to live in the kingdom of darkness or to face the penalty of death so imposed by the ways of darkness. Therefore, He is patient as the darkness ebbs out of us and His Light slowly transforms us.
Make no mistake, obeying the Ways of the Light - the Holy Scriptures - will not make you a citizen of the Kingdom of the Light anymore than obeying the laws of the United States makes you an American. There is only ONE WAY to transfer your citizenship and that is by being BORN AGAIN as a citizen into the commonwealth of the Kingdom of the Light - which can only take place through the blood of Messiah Yeshua.
Being grafted into the Kingdom of the Light - Born Again by the power of His blood - however, does not give us liberty to just do whatever we want and make up our own rules. When a foreigner becomes a citizen of the United States, we expect him to abide by the laws of the United States or suffer the judgment set up under those laws. How much more important is it for citizens of the Kingdom of the Light to abide by the edicts of King Yahweh? or else, suffer the judgement set up under His rule. His Ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts above our own. He knows, far more than we, what is best. And because we have such love for Him, we wish to obey His every desire.
There are two major catagories of edicts that the King has required of His subjects: The first section states that we are to love Yahweh with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our might. We are to love the King with everything in us. And secondly, we are to love each other as we love ourselves.
Every edict that the King has ordered falls under one of these two major catagories. LOVE is the Scroll on which the King writes.
We learn how to love by surrendering to the King.
There are two ways we are informed of the King's statutes, laws, judgments, and instructions. First, He wrote them down in the Holy Scriptures. "Torah" is a Hebrew word that means instructions. We recognize the whole of Scripture to be Yahweh's Torah - Genesis to Revelation. Consider the following:
The Torah of Yahweh is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of Yahweh is sure,
making wise the simple.
The statutes of Yahweh are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of Yahweh is pure
enlightening the eyes.
The fear of Yahweh is clean,
enduring forever:
the judgments of Yahweh are true
and righteous all together.
More to be desired are they than gold,
yea than much fine gold:
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is Your servant warned:
and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:7-11
Behold, I set before you this day
a blessing and a curse;
A blessing, if you obey
the commandments of Yahweh your God,
which I command you this day:
And a curse, if you will not obey
the commandments of Yahweh your God...

The second way to be informed of the King's edicts is through His Spirit. As we walk in the Ways of the Light, the Holy Spirit draws us to Himself and teaches us many things. He empowers us to walk in the Ways of the Light and He gives us personal direction concerning things that are not particularly written down - things that are specific to our individual lives and concerns. Not everyone will build a boat like Noah, not everyone will go to Nineveh and walk the streets shouting "Repent!", and not everyone will create a compelling webpage proclaiming to all who will hear...
